Cristine “Cris” (Haddix) Souther, 53, of Farmland passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Henry County Community Health. She was born on March 31, 1970 in Lawrence, IN a daughter of Jim and Inge (Fortmann) Haddix.
Most importantly, Cris believed in her Lord Jesus Christ. She was a member of Park Chapel Church in Greenfield and read the Bible on a daily basis. Cris was a loving mother and a great wife who just loved people. For the past six years, she owned and operated the Summit Lake Bait Shop. She loved the outdoors, country line dancing, camping and red vehicles, as she had many. Cris just enjoyed going places and vacationing especially in Pigeon Forge, TN. Cris was an awesome cook and her specialty was meatloaf. She also liked doing arts and crafts.
Cris is survived by her husband of 14 years, Robert Adam Souther of Farmland; mother, Inge Haddix of Lawrence; children, Geneva Pleasant of Fishers, Gretchen and Daisy Souther of Farmland; sister, Heidi Haddix of Lawrence; brother, Jesse Haddix of Lawrence; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cris was preceded in death by her father, Jim Haddix.
Public visitation will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Cris’s honor to the Attic Window Thrift Store, 511 N. Memorial Dr. New Castle, IN 47362 or Foster Closet @ First Christian Church, 2000 Bundy Ave. New Castle, IN 47362 with envelopes available at the funeral home.
