Cynthia J. “Cindy” Davis, 62, resident of New Castle, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at CHP Hospice in Defiance, Ohio after an extended illness. She was born January 2, 1963 to the late Wilmer and Carol (Dales) Baldridge in Defiance, Ohio.

Cindy graduated from Ayersville High School in the class of 1981. She also attended Northwest State Community College. She was employed with Campbell's Soup in Defiance for 20 years and later retired from Sam’s Club Distribution Center in Greenfield, Indiana. Cindy loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces. She also enjoyed traveling to Dollywood and Pigeon Forge, TN. She loved flowers, watching HGTV and “yelling at Dugan”. Cindy loved gospel music and had previously sang in a quartet. She was a long-time member of Open Arms Church.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband, David S. “Dugan” Davis, whom she married May 14, 2018; sister, Tammey (Mark) Norden; brother, Robert (Sarah) Baldridge; nieces, Kendra (Jeff) Keasler, Andrea (Nate) Copsey and Audrey Norden (Fiancé Justin Hadley); nephews, Tim Norden, Jayme (Amanda) Baldridge, Kenny (Angie) Sizemore and Kevin (Christina) Sizemore; many great nieces and great nephews; mother-in-law, Jewel Davis; brothers-in-law, Lonnie (Gayle) Davis, Paul (Vicky) Davis, Gary Davis and Ricky (Angie) Davis; sisters-in-law, Debbie Alcorn, Sharon (David) Branham, Lisa (Jeff) Miller and Wendy (Ric) Barr; stepson, Austin (Kayleigh) Davis; grandchildren, Delilah and Luca Davis; special friends, Marie Jaqua and Liz Godwin.

In addition to her parents, Cindy is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Baldridge; sister, Sherry Carmer; father-in-law, Bill Davis; sisters-in-law, Patti Scholl, Kathy Davis-Dicken and Kathy Davis; brother-in-law, Ted Alcorn.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Angie, Teresa and Leah at Forest Ridge Oncology in New Castle and CHP Hospice in Defiance, Ohio. I Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gifts you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2024 at Open Arms Church in New Castle with Pastors Paul and Ricky Davis officiating. A private burial will take place at South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital, PO Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101-2132. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
