D. Joe Austerman

D. Joe Austerman, age 49, of Spiceland, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 2, 2009. He was born July 5, 1960 in New Castle to Floyd “Tiny†and Joan (Bundy) Austerman.
He attended Spiceland Elementary and Tri High Schools. Joe had been employed at EEMAR in Muncie and was presently employed at Old Hickory Furniture Company in Shelbyville as shipping and distribution supervisor. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast.
Survivors include his mother: Joan Austerman of Spiceland; a sister: Jerri Sharp of Muncie; a daughter: Sara Louise Delk, and her sister Ashley Nicole Delk, both of Muncie.
He was preceded in death by his father: Floyd “Tiny†Austerman in 1986; maternal grandparents: Floyd and Florence (Estelle) Bundy; paternal grandparents: Harry and Frances (Holthouse) Austerman.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Cathy Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Circle Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the D.
