Daisy Lee

Daisy M. Lee, 85, formerly of Knightstown went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 17, 2009 in Greenfield. She was born August 12, 1923 in Surry County, NC the daughter of Early and Emma (Hayes) Steele.

She was a homemaker for many years, but had worked in Lawrence and Anderson in the 1950's. She married Osmyn "Roy" Lee October 30, 1945. She had lived in Anderson since June of 2008 having lived in Knightstown for 41 years. She had attended the South Memorial Drive Church of God in New Castle for many years.

Daisy leaves to cherish her memory a daughter: Marcia (husband: Paul) Lund of Anderson; a son: Timothy (wife: Carol) Lee of Knightstown; grandchildren: Mark (wife: Karen) Lund of Seattle, WA; Cindy (husband: Roy) Bauer of Greenwood; Julie (husband: Joel) Workman of Columbus, OH; Rebekah Lee of Atlanta, GA and Elizabeth Lee of Indianapolis; ten great grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Clifton of Rossville, GA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Osmyn "Roy" Lee, three brothers: Henry, Fred and James Steele; a sister: Phoebe Lane; great granddaughter: Lauren Bauer.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Reverend Paul Lund officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
