Dale D. Brenneman passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012 following an extended illness. He was born June 13, 1943 to the late Carl and Laura (Reynolds) Brenneman.
Dale graduated from Walter P. Chrysler Memorial High School, Class of 1961. He was a member of Whittier Lane Baptist Church, where he was baptized June 10, 2007. He was a past member of the Masonic Lodge #91 of New Castle, and also a Golden Eagle member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Arie 933 New Castle. Dale was a member of Cerebral Palsy of Henry County.
Dale owned and operated his own welding shop for many years (D&D Welding). He was an independent truck driver for over 30 years. He was employed by Nesco Sales and Rentals in Bluffton where he was employed before his illness.
Dale was a devoted son, loving husband and father. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene (Ware) Brenneman, whom he married August 26, 1998 in New Castle, IN; his adopted son, William (B.J.) Fletcher, at home; sons, Rodney (Marcy) Brenneman of New Castle, Jeffrey (Liza) Ware of Farmland, IN; daughters, Cynthia (Terry) Stephens of New Castle, IN, and Jody (Billy) Nelson of Portsmouth, OH; extended family member, Jennifer (Brian) Pate; grandchildren, Ryan Stephens of Illinois, Emily Stephens of New Castle, Chloie and Jaylin Ware of Farmland, IN, Dakota, Drew, and Danielle Pate. Also, his aunts, Dorothy Phillips and Doris Gorman, and several cousins.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Laura (Reynolds) Brenneman; twin brothers Dwight and Duane Brenneman.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with the Reverend Phillip Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 at the funeral home.
