Knightstown

Dale R. Johnson, 66, a lifelong resident of Florida, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the home of his daughter in Knightstown. He was born November 7, 1957 in Rushville, the son of the late Robert and Janet Johnson.  

Dale worked as a handyman for the elderly in Florida in retirement communities. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed antiquing, classic country music and camping. 

He is survived by a son, Ryan (Andrea) Johnson of Cicero; three daughters, Jillian (Randall) Gorman of Knightstown, Jenifer Johnson of Knightstown and Kathleen (Ryan) Weir of Pendleton; grandchildren, Bryce, Camden and Aubrey Gorman, Braylon Johnson, Adalee Washington, Isabelle and Jaxon Weir; siblings, Ellen Long of Knightstown, Trish (Walt) Miller of FL, Andy (Lori) Johnson of Dunreith; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Randy and Cheryl Overbey of Boynton Beach, FL. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Victoria Johnson. 

Services will be at 6:00 PM Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Tony Darling officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until time of service on Tuesday. Condolences and memories of Dale may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com.
