Dallas Lowe

June 12, 1929 — April 8, 2011

Dallas B. Lowe, age 81, of New Castle went to be with the Lord Friday, April 8, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born June 12, 1929 in Monticello, Kentucky to the late Nathan and Lula (Jones) Lowe.

His family and church were the loves of his life. He was a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church where he served supper to the Faith Class. He retired from Ingersoll Steel after 33 years of service. He enjoyed attending flea markets. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Donna (Coomer) Lowe of New Castle, children, Darline (husband, Brian) Fairchild of New Castle, Lana (husband, Donald) Cook of New Castle, and Angela (husband, Charles) Holley of New Castle; eight grandchildren, Kyly Siders, Andreya Cook, Nathanial Cook, Briana Carroll, Clayton Fairchild, Nicholas Catron, Konnor Cook, and McKynzee Catron; great grandchildren, Alexia Fairchild, Jazzlyn Carroll, Isaiah Mundy, Graclyn Carroll; a brother, Carlos Lowe of Hagerstown; two sisters, Lillie Slaven of New Castle, and Edith Christ of Greenfield; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant son, Johnathon Nathan Lowe; five brothers, Hubert, Albert, Daniel, Walter, and Windal Lowe; five sisters, Stella Gann, Dortha Dishman, Hattie Craig, Sarah Troxell, and Denise Lowe.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Pastor Jim Becker officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 4 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Foursquare Gospel Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
