Dannie Lynn Brown

Dannie Lynn Brown, 60, of New Castle passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024 at his residence. He was born on August 4, 1963 in Albany, Kentucky.

Dannie attended Knightstown High School and retired from Chrysler Corp. in 2009. He was a jack of all trade and could work on and fix anything. He especially enjoyed working on cars, lawn mowers, doing electrical work or really building anything, including computers. In his earlier years, he loved to go fishing. Dannie was a devoted husband, dad, and papaw and more than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his six grandkids.

He is survived by his parents, Dannie G. and Cindy Brown; daughters, Kelli (Aaron) Charles and Amber Ledford; grandchildren, McKinzie Charles, D.J. Charles, Karmen Ledford, Colton Charles, Lilly Ledford and Teagan Clark; a brother and a sister and a few nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Connie Brown and mother-in-law, Weebee Davis.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dannie L. Brown Memorial Fund c/o Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service to assist the family with funeral expenses.
