Darlene K. Jackson, 67, of Knightstown, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Hancock Regional Hospital following an extended illness. She was born August 6, 1943 in Indianapolis the daughter of John and Lillian Warner.

Darlene had been employed at Disney Distribution Center in Indianapolis for 12 years. She previously worked at the Tee Pee at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis. She loved horses, going shopping and spending time with her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband: Claude A. Jackson, whom she married October 27, 1962; two sons: John L. (wife: Jaclyn) Jackson of Fortville; James A. (wife: Christina) Jackson of Noblesville; eight grandchildren: Desirie (husband: Joseph) Ingalls of Greenfield; Amanda (husband: Ryan) Scott of Nashville; Landon (wife: Kaci) Jackson of Lafayette; Tyler Jackson of Indianapolis; Hunter Jackson and Caden Jackson both of Noblesville; Kursten Jackson and Jacob Jackson both of Fortville; two great grandchildren: Ariana Scott of Nashville; Abigail Jackson of Lafayette; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Paul Galbraith officiating. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday, December 10, 2010 and one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital PO Box 1893 Memphis, TN 38101-2132.
