Darlus J. Johnson

Darlus J. Johnson, age 78, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 11th, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Darlus was born on October 16, 1943, in Pulaski County, Kentucky to the late Lola (Frye) and Eddie Roy.

Darlus spent most of her life being a care giver in various ways, from babysitting, to raising children, to home health care and taking care of the elderly.

Darlus is survived by her daughters: Darla Johnson of Middletown, Debora (Daniel) Rudd of Henderson, Colorado; grandchildren: Tiffany Johnson, D.J. Rudd, Brittany (Kenny) Webb, Jesica (Paul) Hauck, and Emily Rector; great grandchildren: Jada, Aurora, Taylor, Ayden, Hayden, Mason, Addison, Memphis, Haylee, Raleigh, and Trinity; brothers: Roger, Gary, Ronnie; and sisters: Sharon, Barb.

Darlus was preceded in death by her parents, Lola (Frye) and Eddie Roy; her husband, Robert T. Johnson; her daughter, Rhonda S. Johnson; and her son, Robert (Bubby) Michael Johnson; brothers: James and Philip; sisters: Doris and Sue.

Services are being held for Darlus at 2:00pm on Monday October 17th, 2022, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:30pm until time of service. Condolences and memories of Darlus may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com .
