Darrell B. Lyons, 55, of Sulphur Springs passed away, with his family by his side, Friday, July 22, 2016 at his residence following a short and courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 3, 1961 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Denzel Lyons and Patricia (Brown) Lloyd.
Darrell worked as a truck driver with R&L Carriers. In his time off, he enjoyed mud bogging, hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his friends and family. Darrell was also a member of the Oakville Church of the Brethren.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Chris Lyons; children, Derek (Danielle) Cass of Sulphur Springs, Natasha (Ross) Riggs of Lapel, Devon Lyons of Sulphur Springs, Desiree (Steve) Sirk of Marion; nine grandchildren; siblings, Donald (Melody) Lyons of Middletown, Denise Lyons of North Sioux City, SD, Debbie Lyons of Georgia; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Darrell is preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastors John Garrett and Marty Ballard officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Friday and 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
