Darryl Fredrick Dudley, 42, of Knightstown, passed away unexpectedly in his home. He was born September 15, 1969 in New Castle, a son of Fredrick Leon and Jean Harlow (Jones) Dudley.
A 1989 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School, Darryl was formerly employed at Heilig-Myers in New Castle and at Meijer in Indianapolis. He was also a very active volunteer fireman, serving with the Liberty Township and most recently Dunreith Volunteer Fire Departments. He also enjoyed bowling, was a member of the American Red Cross and Henry County Search and Rescue.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Ralph Chew, (fiancé, Leslie Stoten); a daughter, Lindsey Dudley; his best friend, Ruthie Chew, all of Knightstown; three sisters, Lisa (husband, Terry) Deweese of Middletown, Darla (husband, Cameron) Doddridge, and Tammy Blevins, both of New Castle; a brother, Tim (wife, Wilma) Dudley of New Castle; three nieces, Karrie Harless, Li Mingle, and Kayla Dudley; four nephews, John and Steven Durbin, Matt Blevins, Kyle Dudley; five great nephews and four great nieces; several cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred L. Dudley and his grandparents.
Friends may call from 10-10:45 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Graveside service will follow at South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
