David Wade Nicholas, age 38, of Mooreland, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2010 after a brief illness. He was born April 17, 1972 in Muncie, Indiana to Wade and Linda (Savage) Nicholas.
He was a 1990 graduate of Blue River Valley High School and received an Associate degree in Business Administration from Indiana Business College. He had been employed at Kroger in New Castle for the past 17 years. He enjoyed music in general, especially the Beatles and Elton John. He also enjoyed working with computers.
Survivors include his parents, Wade and Linda Nicholas of Mooreland; brother, Brad Nicholas of Fairfield, OH; best friend, Tony (wife, Kris) Powell of Indianapolis; several aunts, uncles and cousins including Kay and Gleason Nicholas, Debbie and Jeff Nunn and Danny and Teresa Nicholas to whom we would like to give special thanks for all their assistance.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents; longtime friend since childhood, Jeremy Jones; two aunts, Norma Savage and Charlotte Cool; uncle, Donald Nicholas.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Thomas Current officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the funeral home.
