David W. Williams

David W. Williams, 79, of Tavares, FL passed away June 13, 2023 at his nephew’s home in New Castle, IN. He was born October 29, 1943 in New Castle, the son of the late Jesse W. and Myrle E. (Risk) Williams.

He graduated from New Castle High School in 1961. After attending business school he was employed at Chrysler Corporation in New Castle in the accounting and payroll departments from 1962 until his retirement in 1992. After making Florida his home he was employed at Publix Palm Plaza in Leesburg, FL from 2000 to 2009.

He is survived by a sister, Marian L. Wells; a brother, George G. Williams both of New Castle; nephews, Duane (Sue) Benbow and Kenny (Judy) Benbow both of New Castle, Jeff (Debby) Williams of Canada, Kelly (April) Williams of Spiceland; nieces, Sue Russell of Greenfield, Alice (John) Ray of Galveston, TX, Dawn (Jeff) Owens of New Castle, Lana Anderson of Ft. Wayne; and many great nieces and nephews and extended family and friends; a very special friend, George Haddad of Fruitland Park, FL.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his partner of 16 years, Harold “Hal” Rogers; sister, Darlene E. Alderson; brothers-in-law, Charles “Jr.” Alderson, Jr. Keith E. Anderson and Roger K. Wells; a nephew, Gary E. Anderson.

Graveside services will be at 12:00 PM Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Glen Cove Cemetery with Pastor Ron Oren officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel.
