Dean Alan Clark

Dean Alan Clark, age 52, of Mooreland, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, January 13, 2013 at his residence. He was born March 27, 1960 in New Castle, Indiana to Davey and Zae (Reece) Clark.

He was an independent carpenter and enjoyed construction, wood working and carpentry. He also enjoyed working on small engines, being taught by his grandfather at Reece’s Lawn Mower Shop, where he worked for a long time. He loved to laugh and loved to play practical jokes.

Survivors include a daughter, Staci Abrell of New Castle; three granddaughters, Makayla Abrell, Jasmin Abrell and Elise Abrell all of New Castle; mother, Zae Pierce of Mooreland; nephew, Justin Stickles of New York; niece, Christina (husband, Mark) Robinson of New Castle; great nephews and great nieces; girlfriend, April Helderbrand of New Castle.

He was preceded in death by his father, Davey Clark; stepfather, Everett Pierce; sisters, Sharon Clark-Reed and Elizabeth Stickles; brother, Kenneth Clark and an infant brother; maternal grandparents, Donald and Gladys Reece; paternal grandparents; half sister, Krista Clark.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle, officiated by the President of the Church of the Latter Day Saints, New Castle. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the funeral home.
