Dean S. White, 83, a resident of New Castle passed away Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at Parkwood Healthcare Center in Lebanon.
He was born Aug. 14, 1927, in Concord, N.H, to the late Everett and Nellie (Parsons) White.
A graduate of Michigan State University, he retired from Modernfold Corp. in New Castle, where he had been employed as an engineer for many years.
Mr. White was affiliated with the First Friends Meeting and formerly with First Presbyterian Church, both in New Castle.
He had previously worked with the Boy Scouts of America and also enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include a daughter, Janel (husband: Todd) Laube of Crawfordsville; a granddaughter, Rebecca Ruble of Crawfordsville; two sisters: Mabel Benedict of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Frances (husband: Donald) Anderson of Gilmanton Ironworks, N.H.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (McManamon) White in November 2004.
