Deborah Kay Shelley

Deborah Kay Shelley, 72, of New Castle passed away on Friday January 17, 2025, at her home. She was born on January 8, 1953, in Anderson to the late Robert and Wanda (Thomas) Rhea.

Deb loved crafting, camping and spending time with her family. She was an excellent cook and was well known for her peanut brittle.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, David Shelley; son, Bobby (Lisa) Jones, daughter, Saundra Jarrells; grandchildren, Missy (Derek Hudson) Jones, Kyle (Sia) Jones, B.J. (Trisha) Jarrells, KayLynn Jarrells; great grandchildren, Lillian Jones, Grayson, Rhett, Dallas and Paisley Jerrells; sisters, Rebecca (Mike Henry) Rhea, Pam (Rip) Denman and Cathy (Randy) McCune; brother, Jimmy Rhea; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Deb is preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Kay Jones; sisters, Vicki (Rhea) Higgenbottom and Judith Ann Rhea; niece, Samantha (Denman) Barnes; nephew, Scott James Rhea.
