Debra D. Taylor

Debra D. Taylor, 67, of Muncie passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at IU Health Ball Hospital. She was born March 3, 1955 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Ray and Martha Mae (Jones) Landis.

Debra was a 1973 graduate of Martin High School in Stuart, Florida. She attended Indiana Business College for Accounting & Business Development. For many years, she has driven a bus for M & M Bus Company, Delta High School and currently for Yorktown School Corp. Debra enjoyed quilting, BINGO, spoiling her grandkids and in her earlier years, bowling.

Debra is survived by her husband, Tom Taylor; children, Robert Simmerman, Jonathon Simmerman (Delores Caldwell), David (Kimberly) Simmerman, Jeremy Ewing (Megan Marie); grandchildren, Jacob Price, Trevin Simmerman, Kendell Ewing, Elly Simmerman, Shayleigh Ewing, Josh Simmerman; son in law, Buddy Price; special friend, Chris Cook; a sister, Katie Landis and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lynn Cooper; granddaughter, Victoria Simmerman and brother, Tim Landis.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. Condolences and memories of Debra may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com .
