Delmer Duane Ferrell

Delmar Duane Ferrell, age 45 of New Castle, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born February 15, 1965 in Henry County, Indiana to Delmer S. and Virginia J. (Davis) Ferrell.

He was formerly employed with Ferrell and Son Scrap Metal. Duane enjoyed fishing and watching new movies.

Survivors include his father, Delmer “Shane” Sam Ferrell of New Castle; children, April (husband, Jeremy) Bailey of Muncie, Michael (wife, Rebekah) Ferrell of Muncie and Barbara Ferrell (companion, Jesse Stowers) of TN; three grandchildren, Jeremy Bailey Jr., Braydon Bailey, and Kaylee Ferrell all of Muncie; sibling, Regina (husband, Rev. Harrison) Braswell of New Castle; aunt, Mable Milton; niece, Dannielle (husband, Craig) Zell of New Castle; nephew, Derrick Braswell (fiancé, Rebecca Rueff) of Muncie; mother of children, Rhonda Criswell of Muncie; several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia (Davis) Ferrell; a sister, Barbara Ferrell; a grandson, Michael Ferrell, Jr.; uncles, Homer, Everett, Jim, Caleb, and William Ferrell, Bill Davis, Forrest Davis and Rosey Reed.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Harrison Braswell officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery.
