Delores Lorraine (Pring) Wehrly, 88, died Monday, May 21, 2012 at The Waters of New Castle. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on July 9, 1923 to the late Vinton and Cora (Newlin) Pring.
A 1942 graduate of Kennard High School, she had worked several years at Westwood Country Club, several years at Bronnenburg Children’s Home in Anderson. Delores loved spending time with her family and flower gardening was her passion.
Survived by sons, Jim (Beth) Wehrly of Anderson, Steven (Lonita) Wehrly of Anderson, William F. Wehrly, Jr. (Marsha) both of Straughn, two foster sons, Charles R. Hinchman of Beech Grove, and Richie (Angie) Hinchman of Jeffersonville, IN, daughters, Paula (Jon) Cronk of New Castle, Nancy (Lee) Sexton of Mentone, IN, Lorraine (Dave) Ross of Groveland, FL, Vickie (Michael) Adams of Alexandria, IN; twenty five grandchildren; twenty nine great grandchildren; a sister, Glenna (Robert) Brenneman of New Castle; nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William Floyd Wehrly in 1993; parents; brothers, Rex, Russell, Paul; sister, Dorothy Bancroft; half brother, Rupert Pring; half sisters, Eunice Gray and Romaine Reichart.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Steve Arnett officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
