Delta Marie Sell

Delta Marie Sell, 84, of New Castle passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at her residence. She was born February 24, 1931 in Akron, Ohio to the late William and Edith (Copeland) Finley and was raised in Cumberland County, Kentucky.

Delta retired from Modernfold in 1995 following 24 years of service. She attended Foursquare Gospel Church in New Castle. Delta enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening, and was an avid aviculturist.

Survivors include her daughters, Karen (Kris) Mahin of Fort Myers Beach, FL and Melinda Poynter (companion, Jim Mohler) of New Castle; son, Christopher (Donna) Sell of Tampa, FL; three grandchildren, James Poynter, Erin Mahin (companion, Scott Wise) and Thomas Sell; one great granddaughter, Lillian Guffey; brothers, Billy Finley of Burkesville, KY and James (Lavelle) Finley and a sister, Geneva Pierce, both of Indianapolis; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Sell; a sister, Nada Hoots.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition.
