Denise Litza, 40, of Plainfield, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, February 16, 2009 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born June 24, 1968 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Dennis and Sandra (Smith) Pycraft.
She home schooled her children and was active in the Lord’s work in several churches. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially field trips and vacations.
Denise will be cherished by her husband of 21 years: Mike Litza; and four children: Nathan, Stephen, Rachel and Rebekah Litza all of Plainfield; parents: Dennis and Sandy Pycraft of New Castle; brother: Kevin (wife: Laura) Pycraft of Holton, MI; sister: Angi (husband: Ray) Hogle of Conneaut, OH; maternal grandmother: Phyllis Smith of Peoria, IL; paternal grandfather: John Pycraft of Elyria, OH; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, February 20, 2009 at Temple Baptist Church in New Castle with Pastors Dennis and Kevin Pycraft officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Ben and Lauren Childs, missionaries to Papua New Guinea c/o Baptist World Missions PO Box 2149 Decatur, AL 35602.
