Donald Frank Kobel, age 50, of Carthage, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after a motor bike accident. He was born July 29, 1958 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Dale and Jean Whetsel.
He was a member of Abundant Life Church in New Castle. He enjoyed attending races and was an avid fan of the Indianapolis 500. He also loved to ride his motor bike.
Survivors include two foster sisters: Wanda Proctor of TX and Sue Tetraits of Indianapolis; foster brother: Brian Whetsel of Indianapolis; special friends: Letha Abrell of Carthage and Paul Lawson of New Castle and a host of friends in the Carthage Community.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Reverend James Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Carthage Cemetery.
