Donna Lee Miller

Donna Lee Miller, 75, of Knightstown, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born June 3, 1936 in Greentown a daughter of the late Laymon H. and Ruth P. (Hardy) Lowder.

Donna retired from the Indiana Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Children’s Home in 2002 after 15 years of service as a seamstress. She had previously worked for Mayhill Publications in Knightstown. She was a member of the Knightstown United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed her family and traveling.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years: Randall S. Miller of Knightstown; four children: Teresa (Bill) Goodsene of Knightstown, Karen (Bill) Beard of Danville, IN, Ross Miller of Knightstown, Laura Lee White of Knightstown; six grandchildren: Lindsay (Jon), Jordyn, Christopher (Miri), Stephen (Valerie), Sarah, Hannah Lee; sister: Sallie Anthony of Rushville; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother: Leonard Lowder.

Services will at be 11:00 AM Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Knightstown United Methodist Church with Pastor Kenneth Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friend may call from 5-8 PM Wednesday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
