Donna Jean Whitehead

Donna J. Whitehead, 65, of New Castle passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024 following a brief battle with cancer. She was born on May 22, 1959 to the late Johnnie and Louise (Gibson) Guffey. 

Donna was a graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School. She had worked at several automotive factories as a laborer and a supervisor through the years. She enjoyed her Harley Davidson, boating and classic cars.

She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Whitehead; children, Josh Bertram, Nicole (Jeremy) Ashby; grandchildren, Tyler and Logan Nott and Elijah and Mercee Ashby; great granddaughter, Quinn; mother-in-law, Lola Whitehead; former daughter-in-law, Angie Nott; brothers-in-law, Harry (Connie) Whitehead, Jerry (Rhonda) Whitehead, Mike Whitehead and David (Sandy) Whitehead; special Aunt, Margie Rhinehart; furry companion, Amos; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, John Guffey Jr; Step-son, Michael Shane Whitehead; and Father-in-law, Johnny Whitehead.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle, IN with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Burial to follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Henry County Cancer Society at P.O.
