Dora Clay, age 95, of Grayson, Kentucky, formerly of New Hebron, Illinois, Knightstown, and Carthage, Indiana passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011. She was born October 4, 1915 in Jackson, Kentucky a daughter of the late Elijah and Tressie (New) Clay.
She retired from Western Electric after 25 years of assembly work and was a homemaker. Dora attended and was a member of the New Hebron, Illinois Independent Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Jessie (husband, Wilbur) Keesling; a son, Reverend Jack (wife, Mary Ann) Clay; sister, Rose Strong of Grayson, KY; ten grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ollie Clay in 1993; sisters, Cora Howard, Pearl Stevens, and Lillian Watts; brothers, Sol, Willie, Alec, Lange, Woodrow, Jim and Coolige Clay; granddaughter, Terry Keesling in 2005.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Reverend Jack Clay officiating.
