Doris J. Neal

Doris J. Neal, 66, of New Castle went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 24, 2013 following a brief illness. She was born October 21, 1947 in Greenfield, IN to the late Joseph Cecil and Virginia (Graddy) Brunson.

A homemaker most of her life, Doris had a beautiful voice, which she used to sing in church choirs, sang with a duet, and sang on many Christian radio broadcasts in Kentucky. She enjoyed purchasing real estate to remodel for resale. Doris loved entertaining company and always had a fresh pot of coffee on for her guests. She also loved her flower gardens, attending garage sales and flea markets, and also enjoyed playing Bingo.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 49 years, Jerry Henry Neal of New Castle; a son Jerry (wife: Gina) Neal; a daughter Jenny (husband: Jason) Massengale both of New Castle; four grandchildren, Aaron (wife: Lyndsie) Neal, Tayler Neal, Samantha Massengale, and Ian Massengale all of New Castle; a sister, Donna (husband: Mark) Dismore; a brother, Gary (wife: Gena) Cecil both of Greenfield; sisters-in-law, Ruth (husband: Phil) Davis, Janet (husband: Bob) Duvall of New Castle; a brother-in-law, Jack (wife: Kathy) Neal of Midddletown; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father, Marvin "Bud" Brunson; sister in law, Juanita Duncan; mother and father in law, Ethel and Steve Neal.

Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Gene Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Hillsboro Cemetery.
