Doris Yokley, age 82, of Kennard passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born March 20, 1929 in Monteagle, Tennessee to the late George and Eleanor (Scruggs) Gipson.
She had worked at various nursing homes as a nurse’s aide. She was a member of Kennard Baptist Church. She loved to fish.
Survivors include her son, Bob “Ray” (wife, Trena) Yokley; five grandchildren, Chris Yokley, Daman (wife, Amanda) Yokley, Kelly McCord, Kristen Forehand and Jason Hoskins; several great grandchildren; sister, Billie Ruth (husband, Bob) Roddy; sister-in-law, Jean Gipson; special friends, Norman and Bobbie Jean Baker and George and Becky Seats; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Yokley; four brothers, James, Harold, Douglas and Wayne Gipson; sister, Alene Johnson.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Reverend Randal Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Hancock Memorial Hospice, 801 N.
