Dorothy Ann Amsden, 53, a resident of Anderson passed away May 5, 2024 at Community Hospital in Anderson. She was born December 30, 1970 in Madison County to the late Benjamin Elden and Fatima (Seleyman) Amsden.
An avid bowler, she bowled in several leagues through Special Olympics. Dorothy enjoyed swimming, especially at Prairie Reservoir. Her hobbies include visiting Memorial Park, McDonalds, Dairy Queen and shopping at Wal-Mart. Dorothy was at her happiest when enjoying M&Ms, a Dr. Pepper and working a puzzle.
Survivors include a sister: Rose Mary (James) Hagerman of Anderson; brother: William Amsden of Anderson; sister-in-law: Carolyn Stevens of Anderson; nieces and nephews: William Elden Amsden, Ashley Amsden, James Hoover Hagerman (Regina Ooten) Layden Hagerman, Joshua Edward(Brea) Hagerman, Amber Hagerman, Peyton Hagerman, Tristan and Colton Lyons, Lilly and Laura Rowe; many great nieces and great nephews; aunts and uncles: Rose and Don Lauderbaugh, Mark and Michelle Seleyman, Allie and Doris Seleyman; cousins: Mary (Marvin) Johnson and Lisa Nevins.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her grandparents: Hamet and Mary Seleyman and Benjamin and Essie Amsden and an aunt: Dorothy Pittsenbarger.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery in Pendleton. You may express condolences or share a memory of Dorothy at www.hinsey-brown.com.
