Dorothy Carmichael, 89, of Knightstown passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at Morristown Manor. She was born August 22, 1929 to the late Leslie (Pat) and Alma (Baker) Schell.
Dorothy was a genuinely kind person who had a smile for everyone and was always willing to help both friends and strangers. She enjoyed sewing, playing Solitaire, reading her cookbooks, spending time outside and shopping with family and friends, and caring for her precious parakeets.
She is survived by her sister, Patti Winterrowd; son, Michael (Patricia) Todd: daughter, Tammy (Brian) Harmon; stepsons, Danny Baker (Crystal), Mike Carmichael (Glenda), and Ronald Carmichael; lifelong friend and caregiver Nancy Hamilton; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Carmichael, and many treasured friends.
