Dorothy Stegner

Dorothy C. Stegner, 76, of Mooreland, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle. She was born April 10, 1932 in Russell County, KY the daughter of Drewy and Ella Carnes.
She was a real estate broker for over 20 years and run the Satalite Café for 8 years. She also worked at Products/Modernfold and RCA Record in the 50’s. She attended Memorial Baptist Church and served as precinct committee member for the Democrat Party in New Castle. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and crocheting.
She is survived by a son: Adam (wife: Karen) Stegner of Mooreland; seven grandchildren: Jay, Jason, Jonathon, Heather, Kathryn, Kristin and Lindsey Stegner all of Mooreland; two brothers: Richard (wife: Margie) Carnes of Fl; Raymond (wife: Lunetta) Carnes of New Castle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons: Clyde Leslie Stegner and Steven Rodrick Stegner; two brothers and a sister.
A Time of Remembrance service will be held from 6-8 PM Monday, March 2, 2009 at the Memorial Baptist Church in New Castle. Online condolences may be made at www.hinsey-brown.com .
