Douglas E Sutherland Sr

Douglas E. Sutherland Sr., 75, of Brookville and formerly New Castle passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015. He was born on September 19, 1939 in New Castle to the late William “Bill” and Mary (Edwards) Sutherland. Doug was a 1957 graduate of Mt. Summit High School and veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Chrysler Corporation in 1993 following 27 years of service. Doug enjoyed bluegrass music and was a member of the Sparrow Creek Band. He was also a member of the Greensboro Masonic Lodge #175, New Castle American Legion Post # 137, and Brookville American Legion Post # 77. Doug enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sports. Most importantly, Doug loved spending time with his grandchildren, Cristen and Colten, whom his life revolved around. Doug is survived by his wife, Dolly (Johnson) Sutherland of Brookville; children, Douglas (Dougie) E. Sutherland Jr. of New Castle, William F.
