Duane L. Begley

Duane L. Begley, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025, at his home following an extended illness. He was born February 3, 1955, in Kokomo, a son of the late Benjamin C. and Harriette (Hainer) Begley.

A 1973 graduate of Center Grove High School, Duane attended Indiana University. He was employed by DouWe-Egberts Coffee Company of the Netherlands for over 25 years, where he was Service Manager for the U.S. and Canada. He then served as Service Manager of U.S. and Canada for Nestle.

He raced motorcycles professionally for over 20 years. He also built custom motorcycles, restored old motorcycles and worked at Harley Davidson for many years.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of over 37 years, Ruth Ann Begley of Indianapolis; a son, Matthew Begley of Indianapolis; one brother, Ben Begley of Bargersville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert M. Begley.

Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m., Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Singleton and St. Pierre Funeral and Cremation Services, 7602 Madison Ave., Indianapolis, IN, 46227. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
