Earl "Bob" Quinton

January 18, 1921 — July 15, 2009

Earl R. “Bob” Quinton, age 88, of New Castle, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at The Waters of New Castle. He was born January 18, 1921 in Greenville, Tennessee to the late Charlie and Effie (Reynolds) Quinton.

He was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church of Spiceland. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Earl was an avid square dancer and caller of which he was proud.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years: Martha (Mark) Quinton of New Castle; brothers: Raymond Quinton of Troy, OH, Don (wife: Velma) Quinton of Muncie, Everett (wife: Nita) Quinton of Laurel, IN and Richard (wife: Shirley) Quinton of Shell Lake, WI; a sister: May (husband: Robert) Thurman of Richmond, CA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings: Lucy Quinton, Burt Quinton, Joe Quinton, Paul Quinton, Blanch Weaver, Ruby Manor and Earnest Quinton.

Services will be at 12:00 noon Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Larry Delon officiating. Burial will follow in East Hill Cemetery in Rushville. Friends may call from 11-12:00 noon at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.hinsey-brown.com .
