B. Elaine Warnock, age 97, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Sienna Nursing Facility in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She was born September 1, 1912 in Queen City, Missouri to the late Mortimer and Edith (Kaster) Mulanix.
Elaine was a 1930 graduate of Queen City High School where she played basketball. She retired in 1978 as secretary in the engineering department of Chrysler Corporation in New Castle after 30 years of service. She was a resident of Raintree Square Senior Apartments for over two years. Elaine enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of several bridge clubs over the years. She was also a member of First Christian Church in New Castle for many years.
Survivors include a daughter, Margery (husband, Pete) Dare of Midwest City, OK; two grandchildren, Kathy (husband, Don) Boone of West Columbia, TX and Jimmy (wife, Carman) Reno of Kerrville, TX; five great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; sister, Frances Crim who lived with her in Raintree Square and is now residing in Portland, OR; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Warnock in 1987; a sister and brother.
Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Brian Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery.
