Ella Mae Riggs, 77, of Knightstown, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at Brandywine Golden Living in Greenfield. She was born July 18, 1940 in Somerset, Kentucky a daughter of Arthur and Mary (Godsey) Rogers.
Ella Mae was a 1959 graduate of Knightstown High School. She was a homemaker and attended Knightstown Friends Church.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jere Riggs of Knightstown; two sons, Jere James (Gail) Riggs II of Knightstown and Timothy Jon (Pamela Ann) Riggs of Shirley; two grandsons, Timothy Jon Riggs, II and Jere James Riggs III; two granddaughters, Angelica Dawn (Jared) Freyer and Ella Marie Riggs; two great grandsons, Dallas and Hunter Riggs; a brother, Douglas M. (Lois) Rogers of Knightstown; a sister, Elizabeth Ann (James) Durham of Knightstown; nieces and nephews, Eric Rogers, Mary Rogers Dalton, Leah Jo Kopp, Gary Wyatt, Angela Tompkins and Pam Faucett; a half sister, Darline Gross; and three brothers-in-law, Randy, Ronnie and Mark Riggs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Norene Wyatt; a brother and sister-in-law, Edward Eugene and Sharon Rogers; and a niece, Candy Rogers.
Services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 1, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Tim Basford officiating. Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
