Elmer Logan

Elmer Logan, 84, of New Castle, IN passed away on Saturday March 1, 2025, at the Willows of New Castle. The son of Osville and Audie Mae Logan, he was born on April 8, 1940, in Byrdstown, TN.

 A life-long resident of New Castle, he was employed at Brooks Foods in Mt Summit for over 30 years and also worked at Ferrodo and Chatsworth in New Castle prior to retiring. Elmer enjoyed playing cards, going fishing, playing basketball and softball and watching his western movies.

Elmer is survived by his daughter, Laura (Mike) Key of Albany, KY; sons, Robin (Lisa) Logan of Alexandria and Kie Logan of New Castle; six grandchildren, Lacy Logan, Trebor (Ash) Logan, Ashley Logan, Bella Logan, Jhordan (Bobby) Carroll and Ty Logan; eight great grandchildren, Silas, Cassian, Holden, Bryer, Ryland, Bella, Lennox, and Henley. 

In addition to his parents Elmer was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Logan; along with several brothers and sisters.

Services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday March 6, 2025, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of service.
