Esther W. Agey, 94, of New Castle, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born April 16, 1917, in Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Alfred and Blanche (Mansfield) Borowsky.
She was a 1935 graduate of Conneaut High School in Conneaut, Ohio. Esther was a member of Temple Baptist Church in New Castle. She enjoyed cross stitching, word search puzzles, wrestling and reading her Bible.
Survivors include three children, Esther Waydelis of New Castle, John Agey of Avondale, Arizona, and Robert "Bob" Agey of New Castle; six grandchildren, Mark Nunisto of Kingsville, Ohio, Matthew Niinisto of West Chester, Ohio, Stephanie Agey of Avondale, Arizona, Ashleigh Agey of Phoenix, Arizona, Morgan Agey of Avondale, Arizona, and Kelly Sweet of North Kingsville, Ohio; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ruth Bailey Gaines of Gainesville, Florida, Alma Boser of Bath, New York, Twila McBride Morrison of North Kingsville, Ohio, and Lorraine Rath of League City, Texas; and numerous nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Agey; and a brother, Alfred W. Borowsky.
Services will be 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with the Reverend Bob Schon officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
