Eva Christine Edmonds, 70, of New Castle passed away Friday, March 1, 2024 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on December 23, 1953 in Shelbyville to the late Don and Nova (Privett) Edmonds.
A 1973 graduate of Waldron High School, Eva was known for her great sense of humor. She enjoyed cooking, reading and sewing. Eva worked as a home healthcare aid and always made her patients smile as well as making them feel safe when she was around. She loved making friends and had a host of very close friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Gene Edmonds; sisters, Mary Voiles and Lora Voiles; sister-in-law, Tammy Edmonds; nieces: Desirea Voiles (Marques Williams), Marlene (Tim) Wyatt and Connie (Dale) Catron; nephews: Wayne Voiles, Scott Guffey and D.J. Catron; great-nieces: Makayla (Noah) Thurman, Diamond Voiles (Kevin Barnett), Kiana Voiles (Caleb McCreery), Tinzleigh Williams, Draya Williams, Lylah Wyatt, Star Guffey, Jade Ramirez and Cierra (Dustin) Pruitt; great-great-nieces: Crue Thurman and Kensley Pruitt; great-nephews: Tristan Guffey, Tanner Wyatt and Cooper Wyatt; great-great-nephews: Dakota Pruitt and Abazyah Guffey; several aunts, uncles and cousins; her best friend, Jack Lowe and special friend, Elizabeth Loy.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Edmonds; brother-in-law, Bucky Voiles and several aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Tim Denney officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Memory Gardens at a later date. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
