Evelyn Jane Kassen, 81, of Bedford passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 8, 1941 in New Paris, Ohio to the late Forrest and Alice (Watts) Kinney.
Jane, a loving mother and grandmother, is survived by husband of 35 years, Stephen Kassen; children, Stephen (Mary Beth) Darnell, Julia (Al) Whisman, Joseph (Lynn) Darnell, Kenneth (Jennifer) Darnell; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Darnell; sister, Elizabeth Johnson.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery located in Centerville, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of the donor’s choice. You may express a condolence or share a memory of Jane at www.hinsey-brown.com .
