Everett W Alexander

Everett W. Alexander, 92, of New Castle, passed away at his home Monday, December 23, 2013. He was born September 4, 1921 in Monticello, KY, a son of the late John E. and Alice (Foster) Alexander.

Everett retired from Avesta Sheffield (Ingersoll Steel) in 1985 after many years of service. He was a member of the Grand Ave. Baptist Church and had attended the Northside Church of God and First Assembly of God, all in New Castle.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, including Betty Nadine (Alexander) Slagle of Englewood, FL; a special friend, Ann Holder of Sexton, and his very close friends, who saw to his needs, Mark and Patti Hayworth of Lewisville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Grover and Philip Alexander; three sisters, Bess Nance, Opal Robinson, and Pauline Alexander; half brother, Luther Alexander, and half sister, Mary Jane Sarrish.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Pastor George Maloyed Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the funeral home.
