Ewell K. Barnes, 65, of Shirley, passed away Sunday evening at his home. He was born November 29, 1951, a son of Herschel and Freya (Whitely) Barnes.
He is survived by two sons, Gregg (Carrie) Barnes of Nineveh, and Luke (Mel) Barnes of Ft. Benning, GA; five grandchildren, Greggory, Kaitlyn, Hoye, and Freya Barnes, and Emilie Barnes; two sisters, Donita Barnes of New Castle and Bonita Harry of Connersville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda (Cadwallader) Barnes, and an infant sister.
A memorial gathering will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2106 at Ewell’s residence, 8319 W. Co. Rd. 450 South, Shirley, IN. All friends and family are invited to attend.
