Fay Louise (Abrams) Taylor, 84, went to be with the Lord and her family July 24, 2016 at Bethel Pointe in Muncie, Indiana. Fay was born on Christmas Day 1931 in Henry County, Indiana to Carl “Brownie” and Eunice (Baumgartner) Abrams.
She was the oldest of five children. She graduated from New Lisbon High School in 1950 and was married to Bill Taylor in August of that year. Fay was baptized June 29, 1947 at the New Lisbon Christian Church. Fay worked at New Lisbon Telephone when they still had switch boards as an operator and had worked at Henry County Hospital for 16 years. First of all, Fay was a mother and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Taylor; three sons, Tom (Debbie) Taylor of Muncie, Don Taylor (deceased) and Bob (Dawn) Taylor of Geneva, IN; grandchildren, Thomas Michael Taylor (deceased), Wendy (Jason) Atkinson, Jessica (Josh) Fowler, Brad (Mandi) Taylor, Jeremy (Ann) Taylor, Felicia (Kris) Jones, Todd Taylor and Christopher L. Taylor; step grandchildren, Taya (Mark) Patch, Taren (Jason) Carter and Mikell (Hannah) Robbins; seventeen great grandchildren; three sisters, Dolores (Clifford) Parkhurst of New Castle, Doris Burchett (deceased) and Linda (Doug) Edwards of New Castle; a brother, Malcolm (Jowana) Abrams of New Castle; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Denney Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Jacksonburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Susan G.
