Floyd Edward Walls, 68, of New Castle passed away January 31, 2017 at AMG Specialty Hospital in Muncie. He was born August 17, 1948 in New Castle to the late Edward J. and Patricia Mae (Leslie) Walls.
Floyd was an amazing man with a big heart. He was loved by everyone that knew him. He was a 1967 graduate of Walter P. Chrysler High School and a proud veteran, serving in the Air Force from 1969-1972. He retired from Chrysler Corporation on September 30, 2001 following 34 years of employment and was a member of the Eagles 933. Over the years, Floyd enjoyed showing his car at car shows, Harley Davidson Motorcycles and drag racing his Mach 1. He loved being outside, animals, but mostly spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Kathryn "Kathy" Walls; daughters, Angela and Amanda Walls; grandchildren, Bailey Marie Rose and Jace Edward Massengale all of New Castle; brother, Danny J. Walls of Madison, IN; sister, Tina A. (Wood) Hittson, husband Kenneth of New Castle; nieces and nephews, Lisa Watson, A.J. and Jason Edward Walls, Alec and Cody Wood; aunt, Sue (Harry) VanNoy; uncles, Jim (Dianna), Frank (Trish), Paul (Norma) Walls; sisters in law, Susan (Larry) Cook and Gussy Lindsey; several cousins and great nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward A. and Pauline Walls, Floyd and Margaret Leslie; brother in law, Gerald Lindsey; and a nephew, Michael Cook.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery near Parker City.
