Forrest D. Warrick, 78, of Brownsburg, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012 at his residence. He was born February 10, 1934 in Rush County the son of Charles Oliver and Vera May (Noble) Warrick.
Forrest retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber in Decatur, IL in 1985 after 30 years. A former resident of Henry County, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Brownsburg American Legion Post 331 and the Dunreith Christian Church. Forrest` enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, Civil War research, woodworking and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife: Carolyn V. (Meek) Warrick whom he married October 9, 1954; children: Forrest M. (Sharon G.) Warrick of Brownsburg; Denise (David) Barnes of Brownsburg; Anita L. (Ricky) Gottman of Vandalia, IL; four grandchildren: Jessica (Josh) Morales, Captain Josh Warrick, Jason and David Barnes; four great grandchildren; Danielle, Tyler, Nicholas and Liam Barnes; his dog, Tucker; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 12 siblings.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Military rites will be conducted by the Knightstown American Legion Post 152. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Knightstown American Legion, 224 E. Main, Knightstown, IN 46148.
