Frances "Sarah" Egan

Frances “Sarah†Egan, age 85, of New Castle, went to be with the Lord, Monday, May 11, 2009 at The Waters of New Castle. She was born October 13, 1923 in Bath County, Kentucky to the late Clinton and Elizabeth (Crouch) Haney.
Sarah’s children were her life and she loved to cook. She was a member of the Knightstown Church of God. She loved to sing and enjoyed gospel music.
Survivors include a daughter: Sue Charles of Muncie; sons: Wayne Egan of FL and Rick (wife: Linda) Egan of New Castle; a sister: Grace Carter of Chesterfield; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Ora Egan; a grandson: Michael Coomer; four brothers and four sisters.
Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Reverend Randy Gross officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
