Frances V. Gregory

Frances V. (Lee) Shell-Gregory, 83, of Ingleside, Texas and formerly of New Castle passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at her residence. She was born December 15, 1940 in New Castle to the late Tom and Pearl (Stringer) Lee.

Frances retired from St. John’s Medical Center following 20 years of service. She then worked for The Care Group in Anderson. Frances enjoyed crafting and caring for others. In 1994, she moved to Tennessee then in 2015, moved to Texas to be closer to family.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherry (Mario) Garcia and K. Lee (Mike) Mesnard; stepdaughters, Robin Pennington, Carol Gregory, and Allison (David) Todd; 11 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James P. Gregory; a daughter, Jama Wisehart; a brother, Reuben Harold Lee; a sister, Donna Jean Griffin and a brother in law, "Cricket" Gregory.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memory Gardens.
