Frances M. Smalley, age 82, of New Castle, passed away April 9, 2012 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center in New Castle. She was born March 10, 1930 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Printis E. and Edna Mae (Marlowe) Lowe.
She was employed by Western Electric Telephone and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughters, Connie Turner McGinnis, Sherrie Turner (husband, Gene) Ingram, and Dottie Turner Deck; son, Eddie (wife, Diana) Sarten; sister-in-law, Rose Lowe of New Castle; grandchildren, Joel (wife, Sandy) Wilburn, Hilary Wilburn, Julie (husband, Brian) Sharp, Angie (husband, John) Hudson, Brad ( wife, Theresa) Deck, Jonathan (wife, Melissa) Illig, Scott Deck, Bryan Deck, and Daniel (wife, Courtney) Sarten; fourteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two nieces and two nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Turner; 2 brothers, Lewis Arnold and Edward Clay Lowe.
Services will be at held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Memorial contributions may be given to the Henry County First Aid Unit with envelopes available at the funeral home. You may express condolences or share a memory of Frances at www.hinsey-brown.com .
