Frances Voss

Frances Voss, age 85, of New Castle, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at her residence. She was born October 17, 1927 in Phoenix, Arizona to the late Herbert and Nettie (Rowland) Reedy.

A member of Westview Church of the Nazarene and a pastor’s wife, she and her husband pastored for 40 years, all in Indiana. She and her husband received the Distinguished Service Award from the Church of the Nazarene. Frances served as missionary president, Sunday school teacher, board member, choir member, and was active in women’s ministry. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking cakes, gardening, sewing and crafts.

Frances is survived by 60 family members including her husband of 64 years, Reverend Frank Voss; five children, Vicky Hayse of Tallahassee, FL, Gary (Sharon) Voss of Winterhaven, FL, Sandy (Micah) Criswell of New Castle, Dan (Becky) Voss of Colorado Springs, CO and Jim (Suzy) Voss of Fishers; a brother, Robert (Virginia) Reedy of Arizona; three sisters, Mary Ann (Bob) Lowe of Nampa, ID, Dorothy (Burdette) Barth of CA and Linda Schmidt of ID; twenty eight grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Westview Church of the Nazarene in New Castle with Reverend Paul Riddle officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle and one hour prior to the service at the church.
