Francis Eugene “Geno” Watson Jr., 66, of Richmond passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Reid Health following a brief battle with cancer. He was born March 16, 1958 in Indianapolis to the late Francis Eugene Watson Sr. and Hazel Marie Crowder.

Geno was a family man first and foremost and always loved being with them. He worked for several years at Bud’s Auto Sales where he enjoyed selling and repossessing vehicles. In his spare time, Geno loved to go fishing and in earlier years, enjoyed drawing and sketching. Prior to finding out the news about his cancer prognosis, he gave his life to the Lord and started attending Freedom Missionary Baptist Church in Richmond.

Geno is survived by his children, Jadelyn Rose Watson (Ryan Stephenson), Christopher Scott Watson (Sydney Phillips), Zachary Eugene Watson (Bailey Featherston); a grandchild due in September; his fiancé, Debra Garcia; several siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia “Cindy” Jackson-Watson.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. January 29, 2025 at Glen Cove Cemetery, 8875 S. State Rd 109 Knightstown, IN 46148. Memorial contributions may be made to the Francis Eugene “Geno” Watson Memorial Fund, c/o Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, 7355 S. State Rd 109 Knightstown, IN 46148 to assist with burial expenses.
